He lost his inspiration but found his muse in the Caribbean...in the arms of a woman.

It's a slow death for a writer when the only key getting used on his keyboard is "Delete". His writer's block is firmly in place like a wall. All there is to do is bang his head against it.

What to do? A change of scenery might help - say a week in the tropics. If nothing else, it will warm his idle fingers and ease his worried thoughts. A getaway for the mind and soul.

Reservations made, Eugene flies to Aruba in search of answers to his problems. What he finds is more than a couple of fruit drinks with umbrellas in them. On the white sandy beaches, wrapped in almost nothing but a tan, is someone who sparks his imagination and ignites his creative flow. He finds his Muse!

-----------------
The room was standard issue hotel, with a queen size bed against the wall beside the window and a small desk in the corner. Across from the bed was a headache-inducing chair with a horrible striped pattern. A small end table was next to it with a lamp and a Holy Bible placed on top. There was a TV on a stand that you could watch while lying in bed. The room was pleasant, small and Eugene looked to the sky to thank God, it had internet access.

Like a large redwood falling in the forest, Eugene dropped his bags and plunged face first into the bed. It was a well-deserved nap. For four hours he had no distractions, no phones, nothing but a loud, obnoxious snore echoed through the small room. The only interruption was the occasional pause for him to fart. Airplane peanuts gave Eugene gas.

The sun was bright in his room. Eugene rolled over, scratched his balls and walked to the open blinds. He had a glorious view of the beach with its entire splendor. There were an abundance of bikini’s and breasts. Bingo, jackpot, he won the booby prize! After wiping the drool from his cheek, he pulled on some clothes and dragged himself to the beach.

Eye candy filled his sunglass-covered eyes. Like a typical tourist he strolled around the beach sipping the mandatory beach drink with a colorful umbrella decorating it. He stopped and downed the last part of his drink and heard someone talking to him.

“Hey waiter, can I get a margarita?”

Eugene turned side to side, wondering what the woman was talking about. “Who me? I’m not a waiter.”

“Oh shit. When I saw those white legs I thought you had white pants on like the cabana boys.” She blocked the sun with her hand and looked up at Eugene. “Damn, you ever let that skin see the sun?” She smiled as Eugene blushed a bright red.

“I have what is called an executive tan. The only light my legs see is florescent. Pretty sad for a California boy.” He was quite pale compared to the woman’s tanned skin.

All she had covering her was a few strings of fabric in strategic places. Eugene swallowed as he surveyed the scenery of her curves. She lay on her tummy, getting wondrous rays of sunlight on her sexy body. The slope of her back caused him to sigh. Her body was slender and petite with her ass rounding up, only covered by a white thong bikini.

“Well, I’ve had a few days head start in the tan department. All I’ve done for two days is sunbathe and drink margaritas.”

Eugene smiled, “Looks like I need to catch up in a hurry. Anybody sitting here?” He pointed to a chair beside her in the sand.

“Help yourself.” With a smile the woman pulled her long brown hair to the side and watched as he sat down. She reached her hand out. “I am sorry, I’m Madison. Madison Hansen.”

“My name is Eugene, nice to meet you.” He shook her hand and couldn’t help but notice she had her top undone in the back to avoid tan lines and he was getting a nice view of her perky breasts below her lifted body as they shook hands.

In fact she began to giggle as he shook her hand continuously. She also noticed him staring at her jiggling breasts. Pulling her hand free she turned back and picked up a book. There was a bookmark in it and she began to read the book while getting her tan.

The real waiter walked by and Eugene ordered Madison a margarita and got himself a Tequila Sunrise. When the drinks arrived he paid the guy and handed Madison her drink and noticed the cover on the book she was reading as she set it down, Velvet Vice.

It was a book he had released last year. It sold well but not like his earlier novels had. “So, you like reading those type of books?” he asked, trying to find out what a fan thought.

She shrugged, “I used to read any book Dorris Daye put out. Lately though, her books have been rather flat and lifeless. When the characters are having sex I want to feeeel it. I want to squirm in my seat. I know how hard it is to keep it up, but it’s almost like there’s no heart behind the new stories. Cut and paste the stories, change the names and setting. She needs to go back to where she started and write like that. She wrote some hot shit.”

Eugene’s ego deflated again as did his swelling cock. Sometimes the truth hurt and people needed to be knocked off the little pedestals they made for themselves. Madison’s blunt honesty gave Eugene a perspective he needed to hear. Maybe she was right. He hadn’t felt the intensity of his earlier books since his fiancée left him. It was sad but his real life had crossed over into his written words.

“It’s hard to keep the intensity that high book after book. The powers that be have a formula they like and it makes it tough for a writer to follow the same plan every time. Everyone has to live happily ever after.” Eugene paused, he was actually describing the issues that were causing his writers block. “I just can’t keep writing the same thing over and over. I need to get back to the earlier times when everything was fresh and new.”

Madison stared at Eugene. “What are you talking about? You must be on some weird drugs because you were rambling.”

“Madison, I’m Dorris Daye.”
